T4Two (2009/10)


T4Two was created for Decibel Festival 2009 in Manchester and was toured throughout 2010 alongside excerpts from Unexploded Stories. A minimum-wage menial causes havoc with a misplaced plug in a secret eugenic laboratory. Observe through the lens of Anjali’s microscope the resulting cocktail of humour, glamour and insolence, spiced with a drop of insanity.

Fruit for Thought (2011)


Fruit for Thought was choreographed by Aya Kobayashi for Resolution 2011 at The Place, London. A tree grows with continuous effort and life’s cycle of work and laughter, love and jealousy, manipulated by hidden forces. Six dancers shake the tree, searching for hidden fruit.

The Reflection (2011)

A duet inspired by an image of the moon shining on water. One person’s individuality reflects on to another’s and shares the same time and space. The dancers explore the sound and silence of movement.

Second Skin (2011)

A young man trapped in his identity peels off layers of gender stereotyping. Originally devised during a research week at Burton Taylor Studio in Oxford, Second Skin is a solo, choreographed and performed by Anjali dancer Nick Mckerrow. It was part of the 2008-2009 tour Unexploded Stories, a collection of intimate dance pieces fused together by passion, purpose, and a theme of dreams and desires. Unexploded Stories was all new work and was imagined, choreographed and performed by the dancers themselves.
